Indie Vampire Syndicate: Gangs of MoonFall - Hybrid FPP/Overhead Turn-based Cyberpunk Vampire RPG

Here’s a quick update on where we’re at in development for the game.

Goal: Produce an Alpha demo with approx 1-2 hours of gameplay. Will showcase a “vertical slice” of gameplay, including story, combat and sex. Open world gameplay will likely not make it into this demo.

Big stuff finished:

• Storyboard and draft for demo mission (including all dialogue and text)
• Environment rendering
• Non-combat character rendering and animations
• Elaborate sex scene (MFFF/FFFF foursome)
• Main RPG system, including progression and combat mechanics (will be vastly simplified for the demo)
• Overhauled game basics (new itemization and loot system, new dialogue layout, etc. Practically building a completely different game from prior ones)

Big stuff that needs to be done:

• Combat (including character renders and animations)
• Skill and weapon implementation
• Enemies
• Demo Boss (Lansa, Curse-obsessed Scholar)
• “Dungeon” layout
• Finalizing items and weapons

Speaking for myself, I'm more of a build character stats and skill trees kind of player than a compare numbers on 10 different swords kind of player.

In other words, it's not the size of your weapon but what maneuvers you know.

If i can give you advices, tits wont hurt, avoid all politic stances, and allow players to play like bastards pretty much like in fallout , planescape torment, VTM . That's what people really want, the true reasons those games are all time classics. No need to spend too much time on rulesets and such, nor even tactical combat (if its in its for the best of course). Its the story telling being adult and not being mainstream that will make it popular.Dont water it down.

Yup, already doing all this. I think it will work nicely. The main thing I have going for the game (beyond the porn and vampires) is because nobody makes darker, freeform RPGs of this style anymore.

I'm not a direct competitor to VtMB2 by any means, but it will be hilarious if my porn game gets the better of the comparison.

Plus, being a vampire crime lord really limits your options of doing a "good guy" run anyways. You can play the honorable/sympathetic villain trope, but the things you have to do to reach vampirism, and to maintain it, clearly cross the moral event horizon (tvtropes link).

If you wanted to play the good guy, vampire slayer is the way to go.

It probably will. Paradox has shown on multiple occasions that they don't know how to make a game that actually appeals to enough video game players to make the entire venture profitable. They're still trying to appeal solely to the vanishingly small minority of mall goths or whatever the gen Z equivalent is.

I've learned that each boob size has it's own wildly enthusiastic fanbase. I'll also have to try keeping my own personal preferences out of the game, otherwise every woman in it is going to be a voluptuous redhead.

Because it makes them closer to a man.

Seriously though, nothing's wrong with moderate size, but if we are to deviate from that for some characters, huge cowlike milkers are less interesting and "realistic" than small tits IMO. I'd say they hamper immersion, others would say it's the only way to get immersed in them. I'm just not into the sag.
