Is that AI voice over?
No the AI economic crisis is definitely not voiced over by the very entities responsible for such a crisis in the first place. The voice over was done by a real human made of real human beings.
Kind of reminds me of Dawn of War: Winter Assault narrator:

By the way, if the millions around the world are unemployed, then how come the corporations reaped record profits? Don't people need income in order for corporations to earn money from them?

Not if they are counting all those people as assets or unclaimed debts.

Not necessarily all corporations, but ones with big B2B portfolios are going to love AI. I'm no economist so I can't even begin to predict how the economy will change once AI becomes fully "usable." In fact, I don't think economists really know either.

We're in for a ride, bros.

How come shit is always falling these days? Redfall, Dragonfall, Greedfall, Babylon's Fall. When are you going to take a stand?

See, I knew Redfall was going to be a problem. :argh:

Yeah, porn games on Steam are locked in various different regions, and there's no easy way around it. That's why I'm releasing on Itch too: https://amemoryofeternity.itch.io/vampire-syndicate-gangs-of-moonfall
I get the same message if it tries to open the site over my browser without being logged in.
If you got nsfw games enabled on steam it shows up in search.

Just a heads up to the peeps that might be interested and think it's not avaiable but in reality it is.

Not in Germany. Will differ by country, of course.

Thinking about adding a toggable difficulty option that locks saving when in "dungeons."

I'll test this out in the next demo and see if people like it.

I think the intended "normal" difficulty of this game will be quite brutal.

Good you're making it an option. IMO, if you want challenge, you can always not save yourself. But when having wife & kids it's really helpful to be able to save & quit anytime, anywhere, without losing any progress. On the other hands, your games are the kind you play when no wife nor kids are around ;)

Yes, it should definately be an option for hardcore replays. Real life is too demanding to make it compulsory.

Well said. If you want to play without saves - just don't save.
Anyone who needs a special checkbox option for "perma-death" in a game not specifically designed to be a rogue-like, is just a weak-willed attention seeker and in fact wants not challenge but a pat on the back.

Also, don't bother to put hit points in the game. Players should have strong enough will to just give up and reload a save when they've been hit enough times.

Would you care to explain to me the thrills of running permadeath in a game that takes over a dozen of hours to complete and where death is not intentionally meant to be the gameplay driver? Well, aside from wasting excesses of your spare time that is.

Is it to test your limits, to see how far you can get with "1 life"?
If yes, what exactly prevents you from doing so even without a special checkbox in the settings?

The same thing that prevents you from reloading a save when you feel like you've been hit enough times. Hit point mechanics, and all limitations or rules in any game, are all just crutches for the weak-willed.

This game should be "safer" for streaming/other people in the room, there'll probably be a toggle for the NSFW content.

The primary difficulty options are also toggable. Right now for the full game I'm thinking:

  • Do "use anywhere" HP/resource-restoring items exist?
  • Resting options and limitations
  • How recovering from trauma/curse status effects work
  • Permadeath
  • Saving in dungeons
  • Maybe changes in the strategic layer AI
  • And lastly, time constrictions on quests. You no longer have all the time in the world to complete them
The "intended" difficulty is of course the hardest one.
