Its an addition to the campaign featuring werewolves and most likely the addition of gangrel as a playable clan.

Your dude in bloodlines 2 sounds like a stupid grunt. Not being able to carry guns around.

It has already been confirmed that you can carry four weapons, two melee and two firearms. Now as I understand it, Florian said that melee weapons will only break on special attacks and that you will only throw your firearms away if you are out of ammo. So keep using regular melee attacks and your ammo well stocked and both shouldn't happen!

ok I'm less Mad about this now

I'm completely fine with not being able to carry around an entire arsenal, but not even a pistol or shotgun? come on it's easy to hide that shit

Why do Toreador have a high speed ability though? Obsessive artists and aestheticians being super fast doesn't sound that intuitive to me. Can someone explain this setting-/lore-/rp-wise to a non-expert?
What I do know is that Celerity is speculated to have been originated within Clan Brujah, as the True Brujah wield Temporis instead and that is just outright time manipulation.

Why the Toreador just happen to have Presence, like the Ventrue, and Celerity, like the Brujah, isn't outright explained. Nor does the 'oh they use it to be really graceful and mega dancers and stuff' from the books really fits the bill for a clan whose activities seem far removed from the nitty gritty of battle, I guess.

But I like to think that since the Toreador sided with both Rome and Carthage until the latters destruction, their discipline reflects an ambivalent nature (attracted to power/attracted to rebellion) that has followed them for centuries.

As the Good Book teaches us, you don't need guns if you are bad enough and a man and a half:

"WHO'S THE MAN? I'M THE MAN! I'M A BAD MAN! HOW BAD? REAL BAD! I'M 12.0 ON THE 10.0 SCALE OF BADNESS! DON'T NEED A GUN... GUNS ARE FOR WUSSES!" - 2 DOOM 1:6-14

It is sort of a pet peeve of mine that they never really tried carrying through with making more unique Clan disciplines. V5 would have been excellent chance to give Nosferatu Nightmare from VtR, as an example. Obviously wouldn't be easy to come up with 13 distinct Clan disciplines, but it's not impossible (especially not after all the unique bloodline disciplines).

My bet is that you can carry guns(only a handful) with you, but you can also pick up guns from your enemy or from the environment during combat, and you only throw away these guns instead of carrying them with you.

I hope this disposable gun thing makes it like a John Woo movie. Do they have triads in Seattle?

Clan Quest Mod 4.1 Released

A new version of Clan Quest Mod is now available which includes content from the Unofficial Patch as well as a ton of bug fixes for CQM 4.0.

Posted by burgermeister01 on May 23rd, 2019

The next edition of Clan Quest Mod is now available for download, and with all the renewed enthusiasm for the game since the announcement of Bloodlines 2 coming next year, there's never been better time to replay this classic with CQM. Since the release of version 4.0, which includes an entirely new story line and ending allowing you to side with the Sabbat, we've been listening to issues and bug reports and steadily working on a better version of the mod. Version 4.1 of the mod includes an abundance of fixes for a number of issues, critical and non-critical. Additionally, some of the most choice elements from the newest version of the Unofficial Patch have been integrated into CQM, most notably the new maps that were made as part of the UP and the newest version of the library quest which takes the players through a number of those new locations. CQM 4.1 also includes v1.0 of the X20 mod which makes a number of graphical enhancements and easter eggs involving other parts of the world of darkness.

Version 4.1 of Clan Quest Mod includes all the great content available in previous versions of the mod including:

  • An entirely new story line for Bloodlines featuring a new hub and a whole new cast of fully voiced NPCs. The story focuses around the the city's Sabbat population and gives the player the option to abandon the Camarilla to join up with the Sword of Caine instead!
  • 3 possible new endings
  • A new humanity system that's more reflective of the pen and paper system, and with greater consequence
  • The ability to diablerize other select kindred
  • 10 new quests, seven of which are only available the respective clan of your player
  • An optional achievement system
  • Easter eggs
  • Full integration with Unofficial Patch (v 9.2), installed easily and automatically
  • Limited integration with other mods including Arsenal Mod, Camarilla Edition, X20 Mod, and Comp Mod, all available directly through the CQM's installer
The full changelog is available on the download page.

Thanks to all that fans that have kept Bloodlines, and this mod, alive for so many great years!

reinstall Bloodlines now.

As if I ever uninstalled it. :smug: Played CQM couple of months back as a power-hungry Sabbat Toreador Antitribu diablerist, by the time I reached Venture Tower I had 10(+4) Melee and 10 Unarmed with 4 points in Potence and 4 points in Celerity.

After digging up my screenshot folder, I even found the sheet I had.

Clan Quest Mod 4.1 Released

Speaking of mods for Bloodlines, how is that Antitribu mod? Worth playing or not? I'm only asking about it because they let you play as a Lasombra.

CQM seems interesting enough on its own, but ultimately, it's just the same old clans that Bloodlines comes with, so I have no real incentive in playing it.

It's... something else. Adds tons of combat left, right and centre. Plus they had the bright idea to turn Grout's wife into a bossfight, so there you go...

Gameplay's fun though, and the powers are really, really well implemented. Had tons of fun fleshcrafting my way through LA.

How is the balance of the game affected by all those mods? QCM adds a ton of content I take it, does it downscale the amount of XP you get for each quest in return?

IIRC, the plus patch already makes your character overpowered as shit, and I kinda dislike that.
