K-DST got hit the hardest with the song removals, especially unfortunate since it's the best channel.
Green River, Runnin' Down a Dream, Somebody Up There Likes Me, Hold the Line and Eminence Front were all removed with new versions.

RollerCoaster Classic on Android on my new Tablet.
This is fucking top grade port. Basically this is RTC2 with RTC1 campaign.
What i feared the most were controls and performance.
Controls area fucking great and no way inferior to PC and performance is stellar !

Really amazing to play RTC on the go.

I spend like 10 hours last 2 days playing it in both commute and work.

I have hit a wall in Devil May Cry. I can't beat Griffon and I've tried a dozen times. I have no items to heal or shit like that and every time you buy one, the price for the next item goes up incredibly. While it is possible to farm, the game wasn't built with farming like an rpg. You'd have to constantly save & restart a level, and the level I'm on is very short with few enemies and little amount of red orbs or go back to an old save and start the game from there.

God, Dante really Must Die.

Ass Creed 4 really doesn't take itself seriously.

The gameplay is similar, but the missions have more flavor in San Andreas. People praise Vice City a lot over San Andreas, but I found it lacking tbh. It’s definitely an improvement over GTA3 in a lot of ways, but it doesn’t flesh out the world enough imo. Not enough of a Miami Vice feel. Lots of lost opportunities.
Vice City is alos the one I haven't beaten but it is clear that San Andreas even with all its shitty faults was the best of the early 3D GTA's.

Nier Automata - started again after beating it once and realized I missed most of the side quests and secrets.
Haven't been so absorbed into a game setting since Planescape Torment & Fallout 1/2.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I got Low Magic Age for free by selling Steam cards (honestly, who buys these?), and played it for a few hours. In case anyone is thinking about getting it, some impressions:

The game offers two separate game modes: An Arena mode, which is exactly what you'd expect, and Adventure mode, which lets you travel around a randomly generated worldmap, visiting towns, competing quests and fighting random encounters, very similarly to Battle Brothers.
  • The character system is great. The game uses the OGL, which as I understand it is basically open-source 3.5E, and while I have no idea how closely it sticks to the official rules or how much is left out, it's certainly complex enough to allow for a wide variety of builds. Currently, you can choose between five classes (Fighter, Cleric, Wizard, Rogue and Barbarian), each with a shitload of general and class-specific feats to choose from. Both game modes allows you to create a party of six characters. Good stuff.
  • Low-level combat is a lot of fun. Plays a lot like Gold Box/Dark Sun/KotC. I haven't encountered any enemies apart from assorted kobolds, goblins and rats, so I don't know yet how the AI handles spells, but so far it is everything I expected it to be, which is great. One huge downside, though, is that spells are cooldown-based. I have no idea why they did this, especially considering the fact that time actually matters in Adventure mode, as all quests have time limits.
  • Like Battle Brothers, the non-combat part of the Aventure mode is very rudimentary. The main gameplay loop consists of travelling from town to town to pick up and turn in quests, of which all I've seen are of the "kill X number of monster Y" or "deliver package to town Y" variety.
  • Towns let you buy and sell items (and like Battle Brothers there is a simplistic trading system that lets you buy and sell otherwise useless commodities such as spices for profit), and pick up "mercenaries" for a fee, which is a completely useless feature because the game lets you create a full party from the get-go, and doesn't allow for reserves. Maybe it's useful if you're playing ironman and can't afford the cost of resurrecting your dead characters.
  • Other than that, there are wandering monster of various types, smaller locations which if entered can provide gold or items (but which are sometimes trapped), as well as larger dungeons. These dungeons are probably the most underdeveloped feature of the game. The dungeon interface is so simplisitc that it might as well not be there at all, as all you do is click your way through a single path, randomly encountering either treasure, monsters or traps (which only ever deal a modest amount of direct damage and nothing more, at least thus far). The in-dungeon battles all play out in square rooms mostly devoid of obstacles. Anyone hoping for actual "maps" will be disappointed. I do not know if there are any handplaced locations, but I sure hope so. I doubt it, though.
  • Itemization is RNG-based, replete with colour-coded item rarity tiers and randomized effects. I don't like that one bit, but there you go. At least damage values are fixed, so a regular Longsword will always deal 1d8 damage.
  • As a result of the above, even the Adventure mode is currently little more than a combat gauntlet with some frills. According to the Steam page, Adventure mode is still in a beta stage and will be expanded and polished leading up to release; it also promises more player classes, multi-classing and prestige classes, characterized monsters, magic items and game modes, as well as a main storyline. Personally, I'm not holding my breath for any substantial changes, but you never know.
TLDR: Exactly what I expected, i. e. a D&D combat simulator, alongside an underdeveloped sandbox mode. Considering its ludicrously low price tag, especially now that it's on sale, I'd definitely recommend it.

Playing Fallout 1.5 and Fallout Nevada for reals, usually Im really suspicious of overhaul mods so I wasn't all that excited to play those Fallout 2 mods, only tried a little before giving up last time, will see if they are really good as people are hyping about on the codex now as I will invest some time on them.

So far, The start of Fallout 1.5 made me think about the beginnings of Fallout 1 and 2 and how game design can be really difficult. Fallout 01 start on a vault (novel concept), with you being the first person to leave it (pretty cool frame for players to get introduced to the world), you need a water chip (reasonable and strong motivation to get out of the vault), they give you directions to a place that might have one on Vault 15(exciting immediate goal), on the way there, you get to shady sands (first community you get to know)... then you get to Junk Town after exploring Vault 15 (and be reminded with what could happen to your vault and on Junk Town you start experiencing the choices.

Fallout 2 starts with you being a tribal (a new concept for the Fallout universe, post apocalyptic tribes), after doing the temple of trial, you get on a quest to get the GECK, it is a far weaker start but you get the glimpse for the first time of a vertibird on that crashed vertibird and you still get a sense of new things being discovered.

Fallout 1.5, starts with you being an amnesiac (RED ALERT) that was drag down into a cave by a mole rat, after shooting some rats and radscorpions (Fallout combat was never that great and I really dont get impressed by waking up on a cave killing rats AGAIN as I did on Fallout 1), get on the first town ( Shady sands 2.0 even with the same assets but with more generic NPCs), gone to Rat Hole (Junk Town 2.0) because... eh... discover memories and stuff (Why?) on Rat Hole, you have to deal with a Junk Town situation but again with generic forgettable NPCs as leaders of the competing factions. Rat Hole uses recycled assets from Fallout 2 so I don't get the pleasure of even exploring something new.

Fallout Nevada starts with you getting out to fix some sensors outside, so far, so good, you fix the sensors, somehow the scientist that helps you disappear and you can decide to go after him or not but doesn't matter, you will be teleported inside the vault, completely amnesiac (RED ALERT) for some reason and all of sudden there is a city outside and you discover you are on vault city and some biker that brought you unconscious and amnesiac, somehow managed to get on the overseer room, neutralize the guards and the overseer and stolen something that is the pretty fucking software that controls the automatic guns on vault city and fought the security of the city alone and got away then the overseer sends you after this biker you don't know who he is because you are amnesiac (??????)

My prejudice against overhaul mods aren't failing me so far, I got alot of unimaginative cargo cult stuff from Fallout 1 and 2, stuff that I already did on the past with a new coat of paint and modders being modders, and I hate amnesia and dunno why those modders love it so much, it is a lame plot device and unless you are a really good writer, you should avoid it.

Going through my goddamn backlog. It's colossal. It's disgusting! Would probably be best to just write a bunch of this shit off, but I can't. I have to at least make an effort.
The last bunch, thank the F Christ I had some old saves left:
DOOM (Had lass than half way to go, had fun!)
Wolfenstein: The New Order (Just the final boss left. No idea why I stopped the last time.)
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Think the save I used was midway through the game, still took me nearly 3 weeks to finish together with both expansions.)
Batman: Arkham Knight (Started from scratch, took almost two weeks, had a blast, nice send-off.)
Beyond: Two Souls (Old save, about a third through I'd say, wrapped the game up in 3 days. Well, 'game.' Did end up caring about what happened to the girl though, so that's something.)
Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition (Started from scratch, took a week. Solid 'GTA-clone.')
Virginia (From scratch, took like an hour, hour and a half though! Hardly a game, but much like with Beyond, I was invested, I cared. Nice music, nice style.)
Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition (Just an easy one to chalk off the list, took a couple hours. Whatever, it's a fighting game. The story was insufferable!)

Barely made a dent, goddammit. Stupid games. Won't be buying any new ones for a while, that's for sure.

Still chipping away at my backlog.

Last bunch:
What Remains Of Edith Finch (A walking simulator, but it was pretty. I liked it, I cared!)
Rise of the Tomb Raider (Had an old save, had like the last hour or two to go.)
Limbo (Cool, spooky platformer)
Mirror's Edge (Had it since forever, took a couple hours to beat, looks good for a 10 year old game!)
Steep (Used to snowboard as a kid in the late 90s and that was the last time I played a snowboarding game too before this one. Was fun for about a week!)
Mass Effect 2 (Man, this one. Sex & violence in space. Goofy to the 10th power! Laughed my ass off several times and I liked it, goddammit!)
Mass Effect 3 (Less entertaining than the previous one, wasn't QUITE as 'out there.' The last third of it really seemed to take forever.)
Scribblenauts Unmasked (Fun puzzle game, though I'm sure it would've been a whole lot more fun if I was a DC fanboy.)
Transformers: Devastation (I'm 2 hours into it now and I like it. Feels nice! Liked the cartoon a bunch as a kid and this definitely feels like the cartoon.)

Age of Wonders : Shadow Magic ( +patch 1.4)

Wasting my time on this one, at first, i wasn't impressed, the tutorial is a terrible (but somewhat necessary ) introduction to the game but after trying the real campaign mode, it grew on me.

If you like the Heroes, Warlords, Disciples series and Lords of Magic / Master of Magic and for some reason you didn't play this one (just like me), you should give it a try.

Here's why :
  • Varied mythical creatures to control
  • City building and management (rudimentary civ-like mechanism )
  • Great magic system, close to a sin to Lords of Magic's one, except you can't research spells outside of your magic spheres (you can trade, though if you've got allies)
  • You can get allies (if that's scripted that way) and they won't betray you.
  • Interesting battle system where some ranged units (crossbowmen mostly) can be extremely lethal in packs for your flyers/high level units
  • Interesting feats such as first strike, block, 50% <type> damage reduction, haste, life steal, double strike ...
  • Taking control of enemies units with traps (low chance), seducing them (males only) or domination with some protections (willpower) that can be bypassed ...

Some drawbacks too :
  • You should play in hard mode as soon as you get the basics, AI isn't very good, either they overpower you with large groups of units or you just wipe the floor with them (mostly this last part though)
  • Nomad scenario (Horns of Kesh) is interesting but it's linear and you have to be very attentive of any hints you get (that small font ...)
  • Don't overuse the item creation or you'll break the game balance (double strike + entangle strike + life steal + physical protection + block + enchants = ultimate hero )

Working on A Dance With Rogues part 2 in Neverwinter Nights. I got hooked with this game again, so much fun playing single player modules.

Gone back to my mad inventor mode. I'm making more VTOL planes in Kerbal Space Program. Here are a few recent ones that succeed at what they are. My favourite is the BAK Drakula: it's just tons of fun to fly, and I made an experimental Super Drakula that makes orbit. You know, in case you want a VTOL that can make orbit. For whatever reason. I can't think of one, but if you can, the Super Drakula has you covered.

rqo2fqw.jpg

Perhaps surprisingly, the hardest one of these to make was the BAK Tern 2 -- it's tiny, and there's very little wiggle room to get it working. It does work though -- it has just the right amount of VERT and HORZ power and handles rather nicely. It's also very cute.

SCBCHdw.jpg

The biggest of the bunch is the BAK Waka - it's an ugly mutha but it handles beautifully and will deliver a pretty impressive bunch of rovers anywhere on Kerbin, more or less.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
*checks folder*
*finds installation instructions*

...

They may be three years old, but I'll just quote those and let the forum post-ratings sort them out:

1: Install game.

2: Install SS2Tool.

3: Run ss2bmm.exe (Blue Mod Manager) to create and assign a mod folder.

4: Install the following mods to the mod folder: Vurt's Flora Overhaul, Obj_Fixes, SHTUP-ND, 400 (+ patch), Rebirth, Vintage Song Remake, SCP Beta 2.

5: Set up the mods in Blue Mod Manager in the order provided above.

Most of these are graphical/aural overhauls, though SS2 fanbois will probably tell me off on that where needed.

Finished Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All (whew what a long title) and wrote the usual review of it here, but honestly there was very little new information to say about it that hasn't already been said about the first game since just about everything has stayed the same between the two games.

Justice for All has four completely new cases, but the actual gameplay is still the same and the game's formula of alternating between investigations and the courtroom battles are still the same. Justice for All has the same type of zany, quirky NPCs who's entire personalities are practically defined by a specific character trait that make up the majority of the cast (it was a bit annoying sometimes how far these quirks were pushed; I think the circus case was the weakest of the four for this reason), though thankfully some of the returning characters actually get a little bit more development, especially Edgeworth who isn't as edgy as he was in the first game anymore. Long story short, if you enjoyed the first game you'll enjoy this one too. I'm also starting to notice a trend with this series where the final case of the game is the best one. Will this continue to be the case with the other Ace Attorney games as well? No idea when I'll get to playing those though.

For the next game I'm going to play, I've decided that it's finally time to play Wizardry 1. Time to find out if it's worthy of all the praise it gets on RPGCodex. It'll be fun.

System Shock 2 is next on my play list. I hope my old CD still works.

What are the recommended mods to use, if any?
Summoning RoSoDude.
And what mods would you recommend for a second playthrough? I've already played it once without mods.
