i hate most new stuff but at least BG3 wont have kingdom/crusade management

Kingmaker's kingdom management, while a bit repetitive, wasn't that awful.

the idea is fine, the execution was terrible.
They obviously didn't have the time to properly implement anything on the scale of what they wanted therefore it should have been left out. Partially implemented features suck.

Even though it uses a simple card/text resolution mechanism, it still quickly repeats content.

Because Chris Avelonne didn't work on Baldur's gate 3. If his name was shown just one second in the credit screen, there would be no more hatred toward BG3.
so in codex's mind, Chris not working on a game = automatically shit? is this why codex hates PoE too?

PoE is a bland uninspired mess of a game.
BG3 is a quirky foolish interpretation of how a real session of DnD5 would go.

Is this still true?

Any management element totally kills the feeling of adventure though.

Whatever race/class/skillset/etc I play as, I always want to be a free-as-bird adventure who surfs on the wind and is detached from all the mundane drudgery of life. Nothing kills that more than playing house.

The kingdom management in PF was absolutely pointless except for some of the artisan items and the teleport circles.

.... you also watch the Fireball animation 98127781 times in real time as well. TB vs RTwP is about issuing instructions, it has zero to do with animations.
Dumbass, in RTWP you can do a million other things and issue your next action while the fireball is flying, in TB you can do nothing but wait and gormlessly watch that bitch fly and admire the particle effects.

You can, if its a garbage trash fight. If its an intense fight, you will pause to issue commands, and then watch fireballs fly.

In TB you have to watch the fireball regardless of whether it's a trash fight or not so what's your point

Any TB game that doesn't allow you to fast forward through animations or outright skip them is actually TBwR (Turn Based with Retardation) and not a real TB.

In TB there are fewer trash fights. RTwP is only good during bad encounters. Its preferable to NOT have bad encounters, so there's no reason to have RTwP.

"Trash" does not necessarily equal bad. (There's a thread going on about "trash" right now.)

It is easy to hate on a game made by people who clearly hate the games this 'sequel' is based. Such wasteful lazy hateful arrogant ignorance. I'm sure it will be passable but it is clear Larian hates the BG series. Why not make your D&D franchise? You have your own audience to buy it. This game us BG in name only. Pathetic. Even if I end up liking it gor what it is, it us tainted. EVIL.

The pink nigger hath spoken. Ignore the FACT that Larian wouldn't be capable to deliver a well-written RPG even it would save their worthless lives.
Move on people. Discussion is over.

I'm at a point where I don't know what's worse. Larian's Baldur's Gate 3, or Rusty's incessant frothing over Larian's Baldur's Gate 3

Swen gets to profit off of nostalgia and turn something that people love into shit. That is a double whammy for that balding faggit.

The extreme SJW and gay porn simulator trash is just the cherry on top.

not that I care about BG3, I am more of a WOTR fan, but what makes BG3 give negative feels on codex?
umm, there's not a game without negative feels on the codex. despite being my favorite game ever, the baldur's gate games are also shit cause rtwp. Planescape Torment is shit cause its a bland visual novel, Arcanum is shit cause Chris can't play it, Fallout is shit because uhh... well, uhh, it's... not similar to Wasteland, so massive decline. Fallout 2 is shit because too many pop references, Vampire Bloodlines is shit cause combat sucks ass, Deus Ex sucks because uhhh... geez, uhh, ... well, there's man-sized ventilation shafts everywhere, totally unrealistic, Gothic II is fucking janky, Morrowind is boring as fuck, Age of Decadence isn't even a video game, Dark souls is weeaboo jRPG crap, Owlcat's Pathfinder games make the dialogue in Larian games seem like its written by james joyce. Jagged Alliance 2 is a strategy game, not a RPG. Witcher 3 is basically Gears of War 3 but with less steroids, Underrail is worse than Sword Coast Legends because of the deep caverns, etc.

(all from the first row of the best 101 RPGs)

everything is shit
