Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
I read the latest patch notes.

Why didn't have fully customizable hirelings at release is beyond me. Good change, though.

BG3 also brought some questions. For example, is sex with a shapeshifter druid bestiality? And is sex with vampires necrophilia? Just kidding. Not talking about the game quality on our subjective opinion. Talking about commercial success. Does anyone here believed that BG3 would have exponentially more players than starfield?

Blimey O'Riley, that's a big old list of wee fixes - and quite a few that are welcome too (that "pick up and add to wares" glitch was really pissing me off).

No. Divinity Original Sin 2 peaked at around 100k concurrent players. I thought this game would 2x that number. Instead they nearly 10x increased it.
Turns out the D&D brand, and the marketing effort, were INSANELY successful in bringing a larger audience to the D:OS system. That, and Bioware's distancing from their old games. EA must be kicking themselves, this easily could've been them.

Biggest one is being able to recast Speak with Dead if you didn't ask any questions. Allows you to try to speak, be told "doesn't want to talk to their killer", shapeshift, and speak again. By far my leading cost of reloading saved games, and due to the nature of such things occurring immediately after the battle, having to redo said battles when I forget to save.

I wish that after resting, I din't need to search more corpses to re have my undead minions as a necromancer. Just have the animated dead stuff turn into corpses after resting.

Is not a big deal as in act 2, there is a place where you can get "free" skeletons and in act 3, you get dense macabre.

The final battle took about an hour for me. And yes, I ALT + TABBED some tmes. Just wish that we could speed up animations like PF:KM allows when they implemented it, you can speed up animations up to 10x speed. Sadly in Wrath they limited it to 3x.

Underrail also allows speed up animations it and is a single character tb game. In a game where enemies can soak a lot damage, there is a party of 4 + lots of allies and a single character can have 5 undead from dense macabre + a elemental + 4 flying ghouls from animate dead, such option should be mandatory imo.

But tbh BG3 in this aspect doesn't get into Wizardry 8 levels of boredom. A party of 8 vs an army encounters are very common and animations are extremely slow. Even with the mod to SKIP animations, fights takes and eternity. I'm not saying that bg3 is bad. Only that allowing me to speed up animations and having all minions sharing their initiative and acting together would make exponentially better

I thought that fight was fun in a clusterfuck way. I summoned every single one of my companions and enjoyed the mayhem it provided.

Speedhack uses a lot of CPU cycles, I guess they didn't think of it since the game is already CPU-hungry.

Nonetheless, given the commercial success of BG3, Larian can obviously afford to take a risk on their next game, and they can save considerable expenditure by re-using the BG3 engine. Parts of BG3's Act II were clearly inspired by Ravenloft, which has a gothic horror setting that might be considered a compromise between a conventional one and something wildly out there, as with Spelljammer or Planescape.

a Ravenloft game with Larian humour and the ability to fuck everything?

Finally finished the game. Very pleased to have managed to keep a 3-player co-op campaign running for 3 months and seeing the game through to the credits, but by the end we were so disconnected from whatever batshit insane anime bullshit was happening on screen that it was more like bad movie night than anything else. The entire ending sequence sucked dicks gameplay-wise as well. We're happy to be done with it.

The Underdark was cool though.
