Good to see an actual review.
How long have you been configuring the game?
Are you running GYNC monitor?

Yeah, I'm for sure going to need to get a newer GFX card before i hit this.
I spent just short of an hour messing around with settings, though I might be in for some course correction once the scenery changes, will see. Monitor's not GSYNC, it's a decade-old eIPS panel with 1680x1050 native resolution.

Dunno what GPU you're rocking, but with any relatively recent hardware it comes down to raytracing. I suspect my 2070 would be chewing it up without the fancy new light tech, but if you want RTX without DLSS, you're probably looking for a 3080.

-Runs fine on five-year-old i7, 16gb RAM, RTX 2070 super. 1080p 60fps, raytracing on, max all other settings.
What sort of framerates are you seeing and are you using DLSS?

Make the Codex Great Again! Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. I helped put crap in Monomyth
Wonder if you can block people on the phone
Cyberpunk is so realistic you need an in-game call blocker. 10/10 GOTY

Could be worse, at least it has stats.

I expected GTA cyberpunk with TW3 story. I got Deus Ex with TW3 story system wise. Though it reminds to be seen whatever this system will hold up later. So far it seems fine much better than i expected for CDPR and their gameplay jank.

My only gripe with system so far is armor values and weapon damage scaling. It feels bolted on top of game rather than integrated. For example my starting gun was 50dps and now i finished prologue and it is 110dps. MEanwhile i took some corpo rifles coming from top end manufacturer on the job and they are 70. It feels like damage scaling should be flatter here. At the same time it is not as crazy as in TW3.

Itemization in TW3 was really not that great. It seemed like the best thing to do in all cases was get each schools' gear and forget about everything else. Quest rewards and found items were always garbage compared to the (very easy to get) swords for each school.

It was absolute utter garbage. Really. The worst of the worst. Here is my legendary sword that has been kept in the family for eternities!

Then ten minutes later, oh, some random white sword has more dps than that. Welp! One of W3's many crucial problems.

Same system as in Witcher 3 again.
The main quests and the big side quests that branch out from the main quests are good.
All the fucking rest is annoying and should be ignored at all cost.

-Cyberpsychos are just Witcher contracts ... fucking boring
-assaults and crimes are just treasure chests in W3
-races and boxing sucks as it did in W3

You can probably skip like 50% of all quests.

Just beat royce the Maelstrom boss from that level I saw in one of the early gameplay trailers (they all turned hostile after I ripped out a gun at the very start, having seen the footage already I didn't feel like loading a save)

The combat's shit, really shit. It feels like Fallout 4 in way too many ways, the same retarded bullet sponges, the same dumb infinite healing item that makes you wish it actually had regenerating health, same bad melee combat (but at least they bound power attack and throw grenade to different buttons). You can hack in combat for some bonuses that don't really matter 90% of the time but help a bit during the fat bullet sponge boss battles, that's about the only distinct feature.

OH YEAH AND IT CRASHES ALL THE FUCKING TIME, THANKS TODDINCZKY

Is anyone having a problem sneaking so far? I keep trying to creep forward to stay undetected, but my character randomly jumps forwards and stands up suddenly.
The game thinks you are double-tapping the key which makes you dodge in that direction.

Did what AwesomeButton said and increased the sharpness on Nvidia's control panel, also placed ignore film grain by 30% or the image quality gets too messed up, the quality of the image really improved. So far, doing the main quest, just alot of NPC talking. The brain dance thing is just yet another minigame, it is a very interesting minigame where you need to analyse a recording in three different tracks, the visual, audio and heat. It is a cool minigame until CDPR decided the players are too dumb and just pretty much tell you where to look to find the clues, defeating the whole point of the thing. It would be nice if you could miss stuff with consequences but nope, unless you really want to mess up on purpose.
What resolution do you play in? 1080p? Did you also disable AA from the control panel? Since CP77 has no setting for anti aliasing, I disabled it from the nvidia control panel, but didn't feel any difference.

None of the graphics options seems to have a significant impact on the framerate in my experience. What remains effective is of course turning the resolution down.
Disabled AA but didnt notice a difference, playing at 1440p. I also reduced anisotropic filter from 16 to 4, reduced the gamma and I also shut down Depth of Field and cromatic aberration. The image is sharper as it was unplayable before but it is still a bit more blurry than I find ideal.

Here's my one minute, lastgen console pleb review.

Cons:

  • Basically unplayable in its current state, had four hard crashes in 7 hours gametime, numerous glitches and minor bugs, had to restart two missions (one 4 times!) due to vital NPCs getting stuck on scenery (Jackie you piece of fat shit).
  • Awful graphics
  • Really can't overstate how bad the graphics are in its current state
  • Horrible performance, especially in outside areas
  • Walked everywhere because driving is godawful
  • Combat outside of small skirmishes becomes a lagfest
  • Bad "RPG" progression
  • No real RPG elements
  • Horrible loot system
  • Numerous, headscratchingly bad design choices
  • Bad UI
  • Hacking is pointless and a waste of stat points
  • So is crafting
  • Also, crafting exists
  • Is just bad
  • Don't buy
  • Gave people cancer, probably
  • No current gen PS5/XBOXS version
Pros:
  • Interesting and gorgeous gameworld (on PC)
  • Good main story missions
  • Memorable characters
  • Combat has the potential to be fun
  • It's got good bones, even if none of those are related to RPGs.
  • Despite my bitching I'll be playing it more

Can you play as Ooga with melee only, no ranged skills and no brain skills?

Thanks for beta testing this game, I'll be playing it next year when most issues have been resolved and it's on sale :salute:
