I love how the old tricks from DD function again, e.g. if you have empty vials and come around a poison barrel, you can fill the vials to get poison vials, which you can then use to poison your weapons.

ps: do not drink

Fuck game systems are really solid. Can't wait for Larian to expand them more. Like for example with high telekinesis blocking enemy way with bathtub and enemy AI will try to look for other way, destroy bathtub or simply wait for you until you come out.

Or destructible everything including walls

No crashes so far, no slowdown, amazing stability with an older system like mine.

Currently playing trough the second zone, but its a bit more combat oriented than what I would like

Any cup, bottle or mug will do + barrel of water.

Ok there is this Buffalo Amulet (Unique) in Cylia store that showed up. It's unique but it doesn't list anything under effects. It is like 7k for that.

Probably quest related but it would be lovely if it would for example change my char into Buffalo.

Recommend Me a Difficulty Setting:

Tonight or tomorrow I will be starting this game co-op with a mate. He's never played an RPG before (except for Planescape: Torment) but he's very good at games in general and one of the best at quick system mastery that I know. Can you change the difficulty during play?
Play on Hard only. In the end I'd say game is a bit too easy, even if depends on party. Reasons:
- AI loves summons too much, too often monsters will switch targets from your party on summoned monsters and use their abilities of them. AI doesn't understand immunities so he will target fire summons with fire even if he can't wound them.
- AI has poor uderstanding of it's own abilities. It can cast debuffs in wrong order (first a spell that has willpower as saving throw, then a spell that lowers willpower), or kill itself with own spells.
AI is too afraid to walk into any area affect, that makes melees an easy picking for any ranged party.
- CCs are out of control. Even AD&D did it better. Charm spell works even on bosses, undead, constructs, golems... same goes for Blind spell. Sometimes they shrug it off quickly, but it's enough to totatly mess enemies up.
charm 1 death knight, see 2 others whack him to death in a turn
- Skill rotation. The biggest flaw in whole combat system are cooldowns. Without stamina/mana or memorise, you don't have to worry if you have right amount of heals or CCs or whatever. You can effectively fight forever and any amount of mobs. Many skills as you progress get faster cooldowns/lower AP cost.
For example, my char can cast Boulder Bash every turn. It's a spell that can knockdown anything and is AoE. Jahan can cast high level heal every turn (or 2-3).
So even one spellcaster, especially if he has 2-3 magic skills, can chain stupid amount of CCs.

The first one I tried to drink on my Zombie knight didn't take. It still has to pass a resistance check (of which you have 200). Also worth noting that, I think, resistances cap at 200.

You sure you dont get healed anyway? I use poison arrow on the ground Im standing on and heal even when I pass the checks, which I believe are only for the damage over time effect? but I guess it could be that theres an initial, seperate damage uneffected by rolls, that pots lack.

How many zones are there in the game?

I'm about to wrap up the first one soonish (as soon as I figure out a proper tactic against Braccus, so that he doesn't just twoshot my party) and it has already taken me around 30 hours.

I heard there were 4 large zones, but that was just from this thread. Not sure I've seen anything to confirm it.

The potions can fail the check. I've had my other character healing my zombie with the poison bolt spell on occasion, and the zombie can vacuum up poison clouds for healing (although you will apparently never be able to get poisoned status).

EDIT: To clarify, when I tried to drink the potion it failed a poison check and I received no healing.

Oh fuck eureka ! I found out how to make backpack ! This changes everything !

HOW?!?

Edit: Also, I've set Scarlett Ai to random through mirror but it still leds me decide when speaking to companions? I'm not sure she has even decided for herself since I did the switch. Is that working? Does she only choose when the rps minigame happens?

Rope + leather scraps

I think larian should create crafting popup that would have more options than one. This is probably why some recipes are bit weird and thanks to more advanced popup you would be able to combine more than 2 items.

I mean for example that Backpack recipe is probably created that way because Needle&Thread+Leather Scraps is already taken.
For example with proper crafting popup above would give two options for creation using same recipe.

So for example:

Cloth parts + Needle&Thread = -------- > Clothes
-------- > Robes
-------- > Cap
-------- > Tunic
-------- > Small Sack

Iron Bar + Anvil = -------------- > Sword Weapon --------> Short sword
--------> Scimitar
-------------- > Iron Helm

and so on.

The worst thing about this game is that you end up slapping your forehead from time to time, thinking 'fuck, I can't believe I didn't think to do that sooner'.

My latest such moments came with the teleportation spell; first instance was a chest that was out of reach, near a hatch; at first I thought I'll grab that later I guess when I find the other side of the hatch, but then it occurred to me that the chest was less than 15m away...

Second was underneath the old general store; I was cautiously trying to move around the traps on the floor when I suddenly thought, 'fuck it, what am I doing?'. As both my characters have teleportation, they proceeded to pick each other up and drop themselves past the floor traps.

Really liking this game so far, but I keep restarting when I think of new build ideas. Guess I should have started to play this during late beta so that I'd know what build to use now for real lol

You could have thrown a pyramid just as well and avoided taking damage from teleport.
