Does anyone know what exactly influences the "points" you gain in rock-paper-scissors?
Even at level 9, after several co-op dialogues with +something and after having put some points into charisma, I still always get 3.

It's supposed to be charisma, but I was noticing the same thing...

I'm guessing blindly here but it depends on who you are arguing with methinks. Probably some are resistant to charm or some resist intimidate.

I guess so, since e.g. the woman in the bathtub had 8 vs my 3 when I applied logic to explain what I did in her bathroom.
Nevertheless, this seems to be quite rare and even so it would be strange if it always boiled down to "3".

I have 4 occasionally, which is I believe equal to my Charisma. Sometimes I have 4 in Reason and sometimes in Charm (the opponents usually have 3 in that case), but despite my high Str I absolutely suck at Intimidating.

So it does depend on your stats, just in some non-obvious way. They should definitely make it more explicit.

I thought Charisma mainly controlled that stuff? Or does it just deal with initial disposition?

Sometimes when I join conversations, I get a -1 or a 0 or a +1 etc behind the intimidate etc dialog options, don't know why I don't get it all the time though?

Is there any good wiki for Original Sin? I want to read about the different outcomes for the quests I've done. For example, what is this thing with Cecil becoming a Lich? I returned the staff to him after using it for a couple of levels but nothing especial happened.

Maybe personality scores influence speech checks? One of my chars is goody two shoes and despite constant charisma (2-3) her charm seems to be getting better and better. I've got up to something like 8:3.

Would make sense in the coop. When you stick with you persona closer then you have better chance in winning the argument.

Ah, I read wrong. So Charisma does decide all three? Charm, Reason, Intimidate etc?

Not sure about Intimidate - my Charisma score doesn't seem to influence that. I thought that maybe Str should do it, but despite my high Str I'm still bad at intimidating. So, I dunno.

Does Weather The Storm increase resistance to status effects like Frozen or Knocked Down when they're the result of a spell?

But it's all so bland, if CRPGs were food PE would be astronaut rations
Wasn't aware Obsidian released enough info about story, characters, and dialogues to make that call already. :hmmm:
