Personally I don't think trying to make money by hunting bandits very early game is particularly effective or enjoyable, you're WAY better off stealing at night unseen (don't overdo it tho), but whatever rocks people's boat.

That was my argument against dice as a money source -- it wastes my IRL time, while not improving any ingame skill. Both bandit hunting, game hunting, and crafting are more efficient money making activities, because they also improve some skill or skills. But I realize you were going with the argument "it's just fun for me".

I've been thinking the same actually. It's a more pronounced chad simulator than KCD1 was.

Having gay romance options in an RPG, at least for me, has never been a taboo. But making it the main characters in KCD2 was kind of bad taste. It should have been a DLC-only main character. Also, I wouldn't say it's badly or cheesily executed in KCD2. The gay romance writing is probably better and more authentic than most of Bioware's.

My problem is with Vavra being dishonest about the existence of gay romance options. Also, he is defending with a "let there be options" arguments, but that's disingenuous because what about the options which are notably lacking? That's the real weak spot that he should be criticized for, but as usual, the majority is too dumb to hit the right places with its criticism.

They all seem out of place to me, whereas in KCD it felt more realistic. KCD2's sexuality is more akin to BG3 than KCD.

One mod I think would change the gameplay fundamentally and for the better, would be a simple formula to decrease the rate of gain of XP in skills which are NOT your most developed skill, proportional to the current total of all skills' XP. The point is that the better you become at one skill, the harder it is to become good in other skills. This would end the current trend of Polymath Henry, and nerf the synergies where training one skill helps you train others, making you OP after 20 hours of open world gameplay.

There's some stuff that the game doesn't really spell out and you have to figure out. Both blacksmith apron and leather gloves give you a crafting bonus which makes it easier to make masterpiece weapons but it doesn't say so in the item description. Dodging/sidestepping is very effective in the beginning against heavily armoured enemies and in brawls but the combat tutorial doesn't even mention it.
