I have question that may sound silly but will you include Vampire seduction of humans in the narrative and or quests? I dont think Vampire games include this enough especially if you play a human. I like the idea of being seduced by that hot Egyptian vampiress and having to free myself or being conflicted but ending up having to kill my mistress\master to stay human ?
This may be a bit deep for what you envision for the overall game design ?

I mean, it's a sex game so not really that silly. Yeah I think it will have some of that, but vampirism in the game is a thing to be earned, and something of an organizational promotion.

Also was doing a size comparison of some creatures in the game for testing purposes, so might as well post it. Will probably have more human enemies than creatures.

All this ranting about plagiarizing vampires and whatnot, while the real issue is clearly the whole Moon fall thing:

Strap Yourselves In Serpent in the Staglands Shadorwun: Hong Kong Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Thanks for the title suggestions and helping me hone my craft. The title's not set in stone, I'll have to do some thinking about it.

Can the player character stay human throughout or is the Haemophage diet non-negotiable?

The player can choose to not accept vampirism if it's offered.
And on that line, player has to be part of a vampire -ahem- lineage? Or can he toss that aside too?

I would imagine rejecting vampirism would be seen as a slight by the player's masters, so tossing his current organisation aside would make a lot of sense.

I'm now imagining a vampire game where you play as a thrall (or ghoul if you want to use WoD terminology) and I can't help but think it would suck.

stealing ideas is based and what everyone did until modern copyright law was made
IP laws are stupid

This comment is stupid.
IP laws create natural monopolies, people who like IP laws inherently endorse monopolies existing.

Oh so owning your property is now a monopoly huh? I guess my labor is a monopoly as well huh? Do you have your doors locked on your property rusty? If not then you've got a monopoly on housing, food, heat, etc... Shame that you locked out all those poor homeless people from your house through the use of a monopoly.
How does one own an idea?

One doesn't own an idea. One owns the exact expression of an idea. You really suck at IP here rusty.
And therefore it is a monopoly.
https://ahdictionary.com/word/search.html?q=monopoly
n. pl. mo·nop·o·lies 1. Exclusive control by one group of the means of producing or selling a commodity or service:

No, that's not a monopoly. Since there are many books, movies, etc... out there. There is only one specific type of expression that is owned by a person or company. Do you have exclusive ownership of your property rusty? Yes, you have a "monopoly" on your real property. A book etc... are physical properties. I can decide what to do with that property.
Having the power to determine whether someone can make a product because the government has -- through its infinite wisdom -- given you power to do so is a monopoly.

And it's a neverending irony because most of the big-name IPs are blatant copies of existing work. Star Wars is just dune with the serial numbers filed off.
Dune or Valerian and Laureline?

Yes, the player can abandon their lineage at any time, before or after vampirism. Doing so will incur full faction penalties, and you'll probably be hunted by your former lineage for the rest of the game unless I add a mechanic to "make peace." Which I probably will.

The player also runs their crew in a cell-like manner somewhat similar to real-life organized crime. When you abandon your lineage, your crew will have to decide between their loyalty to you or to the lineage (a very high loyalty check to see if they stay with you). I might also make it harder to recruit new companions/minions, and there might be an effect on your existing ownership of rackets. More future dev stuff.

As for starting without a lineage, I dunno. Hard to be a familiar without an employer.

Understandable, given the setting, but beware! This was the great failure of Dragon Age. Maybe, given the cyberpunk setting, add combat drones and large sentry robots?

Here's a sample render of some. Most humanoid enemies have access to some kind of combat bot, those are well established in the setting.

Also I'm loving the idea of an opening story crawl. It's timeless, it's classy, it's hell of a lot less work. So I had one made.

  1. Colonial Marine - Recently discharged and has found himself in the seedy underbelly of Moonfall. Think futuristic Travis Bickle, as he clumsily navigates the myriad realms of porno theaters, weird fetishes, sex clubs, illegal prostitution, pimps, and minorities.
  2. Cthulhu faced human - willingly either got surgery or banged a smaller starspawn creature and was gifted with this. Either way, tentacles are fully functional. Can breathe in the void and underwater. Females have octopussy as well.
  3. Hairless werewolf - Fetish party specialist, often dressed out in full gimp gear with a muzzle.
  4. Bride of Frankenstein - Super human strength combined with incredible muscle control.
  5. Rrrrahghbldhuahg
  6. Male offspring of the Black Goat of the Woods. He's a notorious gossip and has information of all sorts to trade. Female offspring have tentacles that end in smooth mouths.
