I'm digging into Fallout: New Vegas again. I played through 80% of Dead Money about 4 times this weekend. Each time realizing I had make a mistake earlier in the story or I changed my mind on a level up perk I had chosen. So I began over again from a save I made at the beginning. Didn't bother me none because Dead Money is arguably some of the best content in New Vegas. Although some people hate it because it's more challenging and you get killed a lot for being retarded.

By the 4th attempt I'd basically mastered my approach to this DLC and how I like to deal with the "Ghost People". For anyone unfamiliar, the Ghost People are these tough mutants with big HP bloat and they move fast. To add to this, they don't fully die unless you blow their limbs apart. And will get back up and fully regenerate if you forget to finish them off.

So my strategy became hoarding as much ammo as I could throughout the earlier portions of the story where you only have to deal with a few mutants at a time. Which is not too difficult using a melee weapon and one of your companions to distract the mutants. And then saving all my ammo for the final showdown where you have to wade through almost 2 dozen of them alone during the Sierra Madre Casino opening.

So here I am with the Automatic rifle with almost 1000 hand loaded .308 rounds and going to town on those vermin. Playing Very Hard - Hardcore difficult and VANILLA on XBOX 360. Because FUCK mods.

Dying Light (1). Parcour is fun and decapitating undead with swords and katanas never gets old. The horror sections are tense and there is some humor here and there (just completed the reptilian quest, lol). 2015 was a blast for Polish devs.

beat Sacred: Underworld expansion. it was just corridor dungeon after corridor dungeon filled with enemies. Lots of walking. Thankfully I played Dark Elf so I had a jump ability that allowed me to skip most combat.

Now I can finally start playing the game, that is killing mobs for hours for loot.

Lately, I've tried a few demos on Steam (e.g. Agent 64 and Fortune's Run), and also finished another run of Lara Croft GO on my phone.

In other news, I couldn't get Cold Zero: The Last Stand to run properly in full-screen mode, so that's a shame. (Thank you Baron Dupek for bringing awareness to the game)

Up next: Dino Crisis REbirth (while setting it up, I thought there was a problem with sound, then I found out the volume was turned all the way down in the in-game configurations)

Playing a bit of Icewind Dale. (Not EE)

It's interesting seeing the refinements they made on Baldur's Gate. Better item storage, double the size of ammo stacks. Basically it gets the formula to a level of perfection without changing too much.

I also like how it's basically impossible to rest in some places and you need to ask somebody to look over you.

Those excellently written item descriptions and hand painted backgrounds, it certainly does represent the peak of the hobby for me.

In Icewind Dale 2, if you rest anywhere outside or inside that goblin and orc fortress (the Horde Fortress), you get immediately swarmed by enemies.
You have to ask a ranger (who is outside) to watch over you.

Also, someone ( :balance: ) made it so if you rested and didn't loot things in the ground, the loot would be gone for good. The reasoning being that if you left it there, someone else would take it.

still playing Sacred… almost 100 hours in now. No idea how I got hooked on it, guess it’s a good ARPG despite clunky controls?

After beating the game on Bronze difficulty (there a 5 unlockable difficulties) with my Dark Elf (level 50) I started a new game on Silver difficulty as a Seraphim, who is now close to 40, and still early in the main quest.

The map is huge, I’ve been just erasing the fog of war and killing mob packs for that loot and XP with my Seraphim and I am really enjoying the game.

Already installed Titan Quest AE to play next but I can see myself playing Sacred for a few dozen hours more first.

Replaying Hollow knight after 5 yrs or so, this time with a controller. Reached Godhome, but after 50+ hours I'm in no mood for repeatedly getting my ass whooped, so I'm planning to just finish the end game boss and be done with it. As I understand there are no less than 5 possible endings. Any suggestions which path to take?

Sacred Gold too. I'm not a fan of braindead hack and slash games, but remember this one fondly. Not really a good game but lots of charm and weirdness saves it from being a forgettable diablo clone. Also mix of 2d backgrounds and 3d character models and huge open world.

You have gladiator class aka stereotypical gladiator\barbarian, that sounds like a 90s action hero with extra chromosome dropping one liners like this: "I'm gonna cut you into strips, dry you and smoke you in my pipe".

And i think he is voiced by this dude no less. Absolute madlad and legend.

He constantly mocks enemies. Makes fun of villages he visits.

His Fist of Gods special ability plays "Hallelujah" sound effect when you use it on enemies.

Early 2000s germoid gamedev was really something.

I am currently enjoying my time playing World of Tanks (WOT) and World of Warcraft (WOW). These games have captivated my interest with their unique gameplay and immersive worlds. In World of Tanks, I find myself strategizing and coordinating with teammates to outmaneuver and outgun our opponents in intense tank battles. On the other hand, World of Warcraft takes me on epic quests and adventures, where I can explore vast fantasy realms, engage in thrilling battles, and interact with a vibrant online community. Both games offer a perfect escape and provide hours of entertainment. But I also play free online games. Lately, I've been playing Grand Koala and Sugar Rush. I was pleasantly surprised that the provider of these games set the RTP at 99%. And I made sure of it myself, the other day I'm going to buy myself a new Ultima 40 Surround "5.1-Set" speaker system at home. About RTP and other nuances I read on this reviewer, they do honest and fair reviews and their experts are independent and not bribed.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire
Picked up Cyberpunk 2077 and Bard's Tale 4 while both were on sale on GoG

Cyberpunk 2077 - played about a half hour... and it didn't crash once? I was on edge the whole time, waiting, saving every 30 seconds. I'll try it again this weekend. While I've heard about the technical nature, the crashing, its unfinished, I really do not know anything about the story other than the intro.

Bards Tale 4 - having beaten the hell out of the OG Bard's Tale series and even (sigh) finished The Bard's Tale (2004) - I should have tried this sooner. Only tried about 30 minutes, using the default bard gal, and so far, it's captivating. This I have heard the puzzles get more and more annoying as one goes along, but I'll hold out judgement.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
And (almost) everything was Japanese.

Like A Dragon: Ishin! Don't sleep on this if you're a fan of the series. I'm having a lot of fun. I'm slowly unlocking new attacks, and heat moves for combat. You have a big area to explore, plenty of substories, and the usual drama. Ten hours in, two hours spent on minigames. (Gambling and fishing mostly) Takes place during the Bakumatsu era.

Trek to Yomi. A homage to the old black and white samurai movies. It nails everything but combat. I'm not a fan at all. Everything else is surprisingly great. It captures the feel of such movies in a great way. Good music, art, and while I don't like the combat, the choreography is well done. Also takes place during Edo period Japan.

God Wars. I have been playing this on and off for the past two years, or more. Tactical rpg, with classes to customize your characters with. Not the best in the genre, but it is good enough. I think I'm finally nearing the end. Takes place in Ancient Japan. This one has more mythology than previous titles.

Devil Survivor 2. Using the Shin Megami Tensei demons, spells, and general rules, but tactical rpg instead of regular rpg. So far, it has been fun, just like the first game. This game is mostly about having the right demon combination for the right fight. Takes place in modern day Japan. It still hurts that there is no third game, but they chose to do a tactical Persona 5 game.

Today, I started Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate. Not Daemonhutners, but the original game. Got it via GOG. I'm only done with the first mission. So far, so good. I have to say that the music is top notch, and I don't mind the graphics at all. Pretty cool WH game that I never played before.

I played it for 100 hours on release and it never crashed on me iirc, also I didn't encounter a single bug except once where an npc got stuck in an elevator. I think most of the bug reports came from consoles/shitty pcs.

I'm playing new vegas with a mod that don't let you spend skill points after leveling up, but raises it when you use a skill, something like the morrowind levelling system

Kinda nice, i started the lonesome road at lvl 1 to see how would i fare, managed to get through it just fine, siding with ulysses and nuking the ncr and legion

Well, new vegas leveling system makes you overpowered too early. By modding the game like i do, the character progress feels more smooth, skill magazines, drugs and apparel bonus are more important and you won't become the king of persuasion at lvl 5.

I also enjoy realistic damage multipliers and all sort of mods to make the gunplay as deadly as possible

my last playthru of new vegas was with the JSawyer mod and Tickfix to remove the stutter. Made the game much more challenging in the beginning.
