Because Braccus is just a side quest, AFAIK it is unnecessary to kill him - the game actually progresses by collecting a particular amount of macguffins. So if game is linear then why i didn't kill Bracus yet ?
Numbers please. It feels like this game has the opposite of the traditional RPG power curve: mages start out the strongest, but it's actually 2-handed warriors who deal insane amount of damage by the end game, with mages relegated to elemental manipulations and (de)buffs, mostly (which is still extremely useful, of course). My 19 STR 2-handed Cleric's Flurry is a thing to behold.
In light of that, an all-magic playthrough might actually be more challenging than an all-melee one.
My witch could do 2000 damage with Oath of Desecration + Death Punch. No resists, no misses, 3 turn cooldown.
My pyro could destroy end game enemy packs with OoD + Meteor Shower without entering combat in 1 cast.
Sure resistances are a problem, but then there are summons. Undead Decapitator can can crit for ~400 damage.
I reached second map with melees and it is such a chore, really. MaT feels like worst skill tree. Scoundrel is decent at taking back ranks... if you act quickly and with precision... and enemies don't aggro on him... and you don't get random CC...
