Haha I thought they said they were going to edit for quality control. :P

I guess they have a real loose definition of quality.

Yes, because in real life trees have QC preventing people from carving shit in them. And shitting on your backers is a great business move. Do you have something real to troll about? Christ, kid, waters gettin' cold.

Pillars of Eternity isn't going to have any of this lame shit; I believe my dearest Josh even sent the Codex an email telling them this.

If you can't follow the guidelines of something acceptable to put on the tree, then your message shouldn't make it in. "I love RPGCodex" fucking really? If it were changed to "I love the Codex" it'd instantly become acceptable.

Sounds like something one could actually find carved in a tree.

Not that i disagree, but it fits the tone of D:OS more than it would do in PoE. D:OS vibe lets it get away with some 4th wall breaking.

Fucking blatant Baldur's Gate, Dark Souls, and internet forum references don't belong in a game. Worse than Fallout 2.

Pillars of Eternity isn't going to have any of this lame shit;

It won't need to. The game itself will be lame shit. Serious Sawyer Business is Serious!

It also can't afford to and still be taken seriously for what it tries to do. ...for what I've seen...

The good thing about D:OS is that it isn't as much of a tryhard as PoE is (the speculative end quality aside), so it can get away with more.

Can't we just ban rougay from this forum?
The logical thing to do is to remove people who openly oppose CRPGs from forums dedicated to CRPGs. Behead those who insult Wizardry; what does one lone feminist accomplish by moving to Saudi Arabia and bitching a lot? Well not much, as muslims take care of infidels and heretics a lot faster.

How are you this far with only 228hp? And who are those other companions?

Glass cannon I guess. I also don't invest in Constitution, like, ever. Playing on Hard here, too, which further reduces my HP.

The henchmen are Lady Svanhild and Lisa.

Is Death Punch capable to One shot bosses? I tried it a little bit when I was respecing to check out other spells and used it with Oath of Discretion and Soulsap I think and it did almost 1800 damage to an enemy with 100 resistance. I only tried it on two enemies so I don't know about bosses or if you could increase the damage output even further.

We actually beat a higher-level encounter with Ang, though it was mostly along the lines of

Death Punch and Flurry are the best damage dealing abilities for me. Both dealing several thousand HP worth of damage.

But Con increases max AP. Low Con bottlenecks glass cannon and stuffies.

Pretty sure that Const is more important than Speed for a glass canon, as it gives more max AP.

Yeah, so? I just pump everything into Int, and I'm pretty fine with my 13 or 14 AP per round anyway. I also don't use any of those fancy attribute point books that you can buy at the homestead.

I mean, it all depends on your playstyle. For my playstyle, INT is the only thing I ever need to invest points in for my mages.

witchcraft's bloodletting causes bleeding (which feels lacklustre btw)

Not if combined with Leech!

Seriously, this game just has a crapload of options.

I use a trackball mouse and I cannot seem to get the camera to rotate past a very small point. Anyone know about this or a work-around?

Unlock the camera in game options? ... trackball should be irrelevant, the default camera rotation is pretty narrow.

re-read your own post, partially right is still wrong
Doesn't necessarily have to use action points (hence the or, as Silent Storm/D:OS type free movement games tend to use them), though I haven't heard any valid reason for why they're such a bad thing.
AP isn't a bad design on its own, just tired of seeing it and most implementations suck.

I'm more a fan of the D&D board games style. Moving allows for a certain number of hexes and the player decides how many within the range. A turn involves two movement actions , use skill/attack actions, or one of each in either order.

Did anyone else agonize over the Philosophy of Death quest, only to learn that it's bugged?
