Oh, also...I should add...just to be clear...that I do agree with Kem0sabe that the game would be better with more interesting writing and better writers. I just don't personally have a problem with the way Larian have focused the majority of their efforts on D:OS.

Behold, RPGWatch spy in my RPG Codex copy of the game :argh:

King Boreas not only speaks the Ultima Speak, he also calls you "Avatar"

The fight was kinda easy, but I found it pretty cool how he transformed the battlefield and changed his elemental affinities at the end of the fight:

The deranged elf in the Cyseal tavern is starting to remind me a bit of Cleve.

I wouldn't be surprised if he donated a bunch of money on Kickstarter and got write that characters dialog. It definitely reads like a Clevian style rant. Something about vomit and dogs humping in caves.

Lvl 20 is soft cap as i understand. Skills also have soft cap (with eq you can add more points than max via points)

Crooked Bee, Jaeson and some other Codex imp just arrived in my homestead.

Wasn't a kickstart backer.

There is no hard cap.

So you're saying you've managed to accumulate enough exp to level beyond lvl 20? Did you have to kill the innocents (tm) to do that?
Nooo, no killing innocents on the first run, that's my rule.
If you try to do everything and kill every enemy you'll go past 20 easily.

No, retard. I'm not a powergamer. But i don't know what the game will throw at me later on, and i don't know if i'll be able to win every fight. And because - check this out, i choose a sub-optimal party! A rogue, 2 knights and a mage! OMFG, your brain = blown? I want to, you know, finish the game in my lifetime. There are what? 5 leves of every skill/ability/whatever? They are there for a reason. So, just because you're a hardcore, "mature" roleplayer you set your standards not to reach level 5 in any skill because that feels dirty? Jebus fucking christ. It's not like i'm presented with really robust choices, since diplomatic skills don't really matter with that whole minigame.

Of course you are, read your own post. you don't need a optimal build to finish the game, you don't even need a good one if you don't play on the highest difficult. If I want to reach maximum in some skill then I do that, if I am not so inclined I won't. I just make the character I feel like making and I don't worry about him being "optimal". Nor do I worry about my group being that. Now if you can't finish the game in your lifetime then the problem isn't your group.

DayZ apparently sold 1 million in its first 4 weeks after release, being the #1 seller for most of that time. Now, D:OS is no zombie game but it has co-op and has been the top seller for a week already; I really hope that means at least 150 or maybe even 200,000 sales (not counting the Early Access).
