Finally, is Subterfuge overpowered? With just 1 point you can scavenge in any locked container
So the thing is, the game uses the VTM-style stat+skill checks. So if you have 1 point in Subterfuge and 9 points in Agility, effectively you have 10 points in Subterfuge.
Science works similarly for scavenging machine parts.
How many spells are there in total?
Around 10 I think, plus each spell can be enhanced with a reagent, so around 20 in total.
anyone play as a woman yet? I wonder what's different
You can romance the Outsider. At least I assume he's not into boys, haven't tried a male character yet. Otherwise, I haven't encountered much gender-specific content - although my char is old and has minimal Presence, so not terribly attractive.
Sounds like tagged skills are meaningless if you have good attributes and useful only if you want to be an ugly person and wololo everyone or a weakling master of melee (maybe you can roleplay Miyagi that is old and relatively frail but still beat everyone).

Standin' pretty. In this dust that was a city.
Children of Pazuzu isn't broken, just targeting it is s bit bugged.
Heh, I tried to make it work for a good while, but wasn't able to cast it even once in the end.

Nightwalk increases stealth, not subterfuge, and by whooping 10 points, allowing to waltz freely through blasted street.
Right, it's stealth. But Blasted street isn't that bad, since you can kill stuff definitely and just go rest, then proceed. Plus Sleeper fight is obligatory.

Sooo i am at dead willows place and

Did anyone find a way to not kill everyone in the fucking tribe???
Fucking this. Shit is buggy. I can kill everyone and then shaman appears, description says that we know each other, he scolds me and tells
where the House of Spectres. I know how to find it through Horatio and mute girl leads, but how to find it through Wajtal properly?
BTW, when I killed Wajtal, I got his body and unresponsive living Wajtal nearby.

To solve it peacefully, you need Melee skill in order to impress him.

But why waste resources and accrue angst points if you can just waltz through unscathed?
Besides, it was more in response to TwinkieGorilla who claimed that a non-combat occultist build didn't work for Blasted street.
Plus Sleeper fight is obligatory.
Yes but it's much easier for the casters than for other builds because you don't have to unearth him for damage-dealing spells to work, and Host of Loa protects you from panic. Would be even easier if enhanced Host of Loa wasn't bugged. I must confess, I'm kinda liking these boss encounters (Sleeper, Mi-Go, ghoul king) where you have to do something different than just shoot everything, they remind me of Blackguards.
Sounds like tagged skills are meaningless if you have good attributes
Well, skills have both situational and systemic uses. So it might still be worth it to maximize e.g. occult for maximum spell damage, even if you don't need it for checks.

so how do i beat the boss in the warehouse? can i avoid it or is it mandatory fight? >__> he keeps slaughtering me
Flesh Devourer?
Have you completed unfinished ritual in the second room of warehouse? Finish it and just endure until ghouls kill each other. Molotovs work fine as well.
There is another way to find The House of Spectres!
Just summon Julian's spirit with Tongues of Dead spell

I think you can stealth him with a stealth build, and if you have occult
there's a ritual to rearrange in another room that makes ghouls attack each other, so you just wait for him to slaughter his cronies and get a bit chewed up in the process, then it's easy.
How would you do it with science or speechcraft, I don't know.

Also, any list of initial companion for each profession type?
Outsider, Randolf's wife, spanish henchman, zombie soldier, Aristocrat's butler and Explorer's dawg.

But which goes with which profession? Performer/actress has the Outsider, so does Detective I believe. As an actress I also got the spanish henchman guy, but he's just a henchman not a real companion (you can't see his stats or access inventory)

anyone play as a woman yet? I wonder what's different

My trial run was as Stacy, a female performer (actress). The bartender still called my PC by male pronouns (expecting SJW rage any minute now) However you can have lesbian sex with the prostitutes and the prostitutes acknowledge you are a woman and the sex is different and fun (if you have high speech you can do sex for free once until it resets, which I guess happens when you rest)

Another question: Is there any reason to pump Occult to 6 (which I believe is the max for skills?) if you have a base stat of Will of around 8? Because I would like to play as the Occult Detective, but he doesn't have Occult as a core skill. Non core skills only go up to 4 correct?

But which goes with which profession?
Only butler and dog a class-specific, and the respective classes start with them. All the companions you can get in the course of your adventure can go with any class.
Is there any reason to pump Occult to 6 (which I believe is the max for skills?)
It's 10 for class skills, I think, and no idea how much for non-class. I'd assume something like 7.

The Stygian devs have just posted in relation to issues surrounding the ending and future releases. Doesn't give away much that is concrete, but it sounds like the intention is there for possible DLC or sequels. Whether they will add content that addresses some of the issues in base game isn't touched on, but seems kind of unlikely after that post...disappointing.

The char gen screen seems to say that your core skills can increase to 6...

It most certainly does not. 6 is the minimum for an archetype's core stat, not skill maximum.

Oh yeah ok, I mi-sremember then. So what's the benefit to skills from a Profession then?

Also, do any Professions get unique perks or does it all depend on your attributes and skills?

Is there a list of all perks in the game?

Each profession has 3 preferred skills, which can be leveled to 10 instead of 7. Although, it's not that much of an interest, since anyway by the time you're level 7-8, you've probably finished the game.
The only way to get a skill as high as 10 is to farm xp by fighting, which also gets your ANGST, and would probably not make a valuable difference in the first place.
But professions also starts with different items and can get different traits at start, with certain traits being nice.
Imo aristocrat is the best because you've got much $$ on start and a very potent follower for combat.

Concentrate all firepower on him, try to get a melee character to tie him up. If you're playing occult and have Outsider in the party, you can kill him on the 2nd turn if you're lucky ( just by spamming the spit spell from both characters).

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
As I am playing, combat is making it more difficult for me to go on. I don't really like it. I do like everything else, though.
